About Jackie

Welcome! Emerald Orchard is my small and quiet corner of the world where I allow my imagination to carry me. Behind each little character and scene is me — Jackie, the artist tending this little orchard of color, story, and wonder.

The name Emerald Orchard is inspired by my charming neighborhood on the Central Rim of Boise, Idaho. The neighborhood was formerly an orchard, and its left over cherry and apple trees, plus the close companionship of squirrels, rabbits, and birds took me right back to childhood and my love of storybooks like “10 Little Mice.”

My illustrations come from an appreciation for the rhythms of nature, my  favorite cozy moments, plus the magic of small everyday things. I hope my creations bring lightness and a touch of whimsy to your day.
